Your house will always be the place that you ultimately go to when all the stressful things are done in your life, so it would only be proper that you come home to a house that you would really appreciate and can give you that much needed relaxation for surviving another day. Although, most people are stuck with the home designs that they have inside the house that do not give any reminder of whom they really are during their private times. Hiring a Top Interior Design Firm can be great to sort things out; however, you can also do things on your own so you can see to it that your room will loudly speak of who you are as a person.
When doing some home improvements, the best thing to do is to list down all the things that you would want to see inside the house. Reflect on these things and choose those that remind you of you. Get to know the people who come in and out of your house as well. Never buy anything that does not meet any of your functional needs, at least not immediately. Lastly, if there are things that you think you do not need anymore; throw them out, unless it has that sentimental value to you.
Though I don’t have a green thumb, I still would like to create a Zen garden to compliment the interior design of my house. Building a Zen garden is like putting nature or to be more specific a miniature landscape in your own home. This area is a good place to do my yoga exercises since the ambiance motivates you to relax.
The location for the garden should be away from all the noise and buzz since you want a place of serenity. The materials needed to make a Zen garden is a rake, sand, gravel, various sizes and texture of rocks, moss, pieces of logs while mini fountains, jars and statues are optional. Pile up the area with gravel and sand then place the stones and other materials aesthetically. When finished decorating it with the given objects use the rake to make lines and curves. Place a chair near it so that you can have a seat to meditate.
They say that your personality reflects your home. I love going to the spa. It keeps me tension free that is why when I bought my house I wanted to incorporate a touch of the relaxing ambiance that the spa gives me. I felt like the interior design of my house to should Zen inspired. Through having this design it seems that you are in a place of sanctuary where you can meditate.
It mostly uses neutral or earth colors like black, white, brown, gray and beige which are not overpowering for the eye. Having a clutter free space is one of the principles of this design which gives you a pure clean feeling. Too much decors in an area can be over stimulating. The less there is going on the calmer it looks. Things seen in nature are frequently used like pebbles, bamboo, wood, flower and water. This design truly defines simplicity is beauty.
