Painting your room makes it more individualized. Though the overall look of my home is more on Zen design which is composed of earth colors, I have given each family member a room of their own, a personalize space where they can design it according to their taste. As kids grow up, each wants to make theirs more unique. Painting is the easiest option to alter the look and give a wall life.

After we moved the furniture, covered the switches, smoothened the wall and applied the primer, we all started to bring the walls to life. We didn’t want to make it plain so instead of using just one color, we used different ways to add texture. For the girls’ room we bought prefabricated stencils and applied paint through the use of sponge for added effects while we opted for faux painting for the other rooms. This is an enjoyable activity and family bonding.

A house is worth a large sum of money. When buying a home we invest a lot of things so it is better to weigh every choice that you have. When I bought my house I had to meditate on it for thousands of times before coming up with my decision. With this experience I would like to share some tips for all those first time buyers.
Before you purchase one you should make pointers about what to consider about your future home. Try to be specific and narrow down your choices so that it will be easier for you to search. Your budget is the number one thing to consider. Do not commit to a house that you can’t afford and later on maintain. Clean your credit so that it will be easier for you to get a loan. Another important guide is to know your priorities. For example you need to be near your workplace, school and other facilities or you are retiring and you want to live in a peaceful neighborhood. Consider that the house you will buy is where you are living for the rest of your life. Be careful and scrutinize every detail so that your home will be worth all the time, effort and money you spent.
They say that the safest place in the world is in the comfort of our homes but in our society today we are not assured of anything anymore. So it is better if we make one step ahead from all the threat that may breach our security. Protect your home from unwanted intruders, fire and from other sources of danger. Even if there are home safety agencies, still they are not enough to keep an eye on every home.
Though there are countless of disasters that may occur, there are also endless ways of protecting your home. Make a accident prevention and fire safety plan, keep track and post numbers of the police and fire stations, instruct the kids about drills when this incidents happen. Installing security lights, burglar and fire alarms, security cameras are just a few of the devices that can be used to monitor our homes. So why take risk? Home security is important to give you a peace of mind.
